Problems After Liposuction

Liposuction aka the invasive fat removal surgery is a cosmetic procedure that involves the surgical extraction of excess fat cells from the body. Liposuction can either be done in hospitals or in aesthetic clinics. People were hesitant to undergo such cosmetic procedures in the past because it has happened in the past that some people suffered from terrible complications and surgery failures.

However, it’s different these days and people are almost guaranteed to get the safest procedures ever. No matter how safe liposuction is, problems after liposuction are sometimes inevitable because it is a cosmetic procedure after all.

Liposuction procedures require good post-surgery care from the patients. The post-surgery period is the most important time because most severe complication problems and failure cases happen in this period. People do not take care of their liposuctioned bodies after the procedures and suffer from these problems.

For example, there are two common complications called swelling and inflammation and both of these side effects can be seen after most fat removal jobs. If you suffer from inflammation, you will probably suffer from swelling as well. The body fluids that are supposed to settle under the skin can’t do this job and cause inflammation, then swelling.

None of these complications are so important because they’re not permanent. The most annoying complication is a possible loss of sensation. You may feel a bit weird for a long time after your liposuction procedure. This is a common complication and some patients even claim that it took 1-2 years to get rid of the sensation loss problem.
